Our friend from the Netherlands, Joop Berding, recently published a book about Korczak under the patronage of IKA.
Here is a brief description of it:
In Janusz Korczak. Educating for Justice, Joop Berding, pedagogue and author from the Netherlands, describes the life and works of Korczak from the perspective of justice. From the start of his career as a family doctor, and later director and pedagogue of his orphanages justice is the central theme in Korczak's outlook on children and society. As a novice, he learned about justice, during the summer camps. Later, in Dom Sierot, he practiced it by installing the parliament, and other institutions like the Little Review, and of course the children's court. Berding shows in great detail how Korczak developed his unique way of dealing with children. The many lessons for today which we can learn from this are discussed in the last chapter.
